Twenty years behind the decks, plus running production for the Aura Open Air Festival. At an event that means one concrete thing: the music goes where it needs to go at every moment, without anyone having to ask twice.
The offer
Playing a club is not the same as playing inside an event that runs to a script. Here both come together.
I work with professional DJ streaming platforms, so the music is not limited to what sits on my hard drive. If someone asks for a track halfway through dinner, it plays two minutes later. And if the group is international, the set travels with it.
Before the event we agree the musical direction: what works, what does not, and what cannot be missing — with the event timing in front of us, because the reception, the dinner and two in the morning are not the same conversation.
I come from producing events and festivals, so I speak the rest of the crew’s language: AV, catering, protocol. I know when to pull back for a speech and when to push because the floor is cooling down.
The names
Each style has its own name, because each crowd expects something different. For an event we pick the one that fits, and that is decided at the briefing.
General name
Company events, celebrations and weddings. Open repertoire and a set built from the brief: this is the name I work under in event production.
Trance
The psytrance project, at festivals and clubs. Aura Open Air Festival, Misa Psicodélika and the Barcelona scene.
House · duo
A house duo. Two booths working at once, for when the event calls for a sustained floor with some body to it.
Funky · world music
Funky and world music. The warmest, most danceable register, the one that works best at a dinner, a vermouth or a party with a mixed crowd.
Formats
Background music that lets people talk. Conversation volume, careful selection, nothing that makes anyone raise their voice.
It accompanies without taking over, and rises with the courses, so that by dessert the room is already where we want it.
The part people remember the next day. Live floor reading and an open repertoire to hold it for as many hours as it takes.
A given decade, a country, the brand’s soundtrack. Built to measure from the brief.

If Events Penedès runs the production, the set sits inside the same budget and the same point of contact. No juggling two suppliers.

I am the production lead of the Aura Open Air Festival. It is the most demanding school I know: schedules that cannot move, artists arriving late, weather, capacity, safety, and an audience that does not forgive a silence.
That experience is what later shows at a sixty-person company event, where the margin for error is the same but nobody sees it.

Clubs, private parties, company events and festivals. Crowds of thirty and crowds of several thousand, which are not handled the same way.
